Get the kids active and into the water with our fun and inclusive programmes that are suitable for all young people who are keen to give surfing a go! Run by our qualified and fun instructors, our programmes are designed to work alongside our students in gaining the confidence, skills and knowledge they need for a lifetime of surfing enjoyment!

Free Holiday Surf Programmes

Tutukaka & Taupo Bay

Our Holiday Surf Programmes are a great way to get your kids active and in the ocean over the holidays! These programmes offer beginner to intermediate surfing lessons which are run by our qualified and experienced surf coaches in a fun and safe environment. All equipment is provided. Funded by BreakAway it is free for children aged 11-17yrs who school in Northland. All children aged 6-17 years are welcome to book in to the programme at a cost.

Holiday Surf Programmes

Orewa Beach

Our Orewa Beach Holiday Surfing Programmes offer beginner to intermediate surfing lessons to all kids aged between 6-17 yrs. All equipment is provided. The programmes run for a 2 hour daily session over 5 days, and will teach kids how to surf, surf etiquette, surf skills, beach & water safety and hazard awareness. Whilst doing this they will have heaps of fun, play some beach games, go on some adventures and make loads of new friends!

Wave Warriors After-School Surfing at Orewa Beach

Our 6 week after school programme will be running at Orewa Beach during Term One.

- 90 minute surf sessions

- 6-10 years old 3.45pm-5.15pm

- 11-16 years old 5.30pm-7.00pm

- Tuesday or Friday surfing options

- Includes Wave Warriors student log book

- Cost for week programme $240

The surf programme aims to teach not only the fundamentals of how to surf but how to enjoy the water in safe manner, teaching water safety, surf etiquette and hazard awareness. In addition to improving your surfing skills each week, we'll have heaps of fun and make loads of new friends!

We will provide all surf tuition, surfboards and wetsuits.
